Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 15 October 2026

These Terms & Conditions explain how we operate, what to expect when placing an order and your rights as a customer.

By placing an order through our website, you agree to the applicable Terms & Conditions. Nothing within these terms affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
1. About Us

Opal Glow Beauty is owned and operated by Toni O'Neill-Rowland, a sole trader trading as Opal Glow Beauty.

Website: www.opalglow.co.uk

Email: info@opalglow.co.uk

Opal Glow Beauty

Independent UK beauty brand
Based in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex, United Kingdom

These terms apply to physical cosmetic products sold through our website, including Glow Oils, Glow Balms, hand creams, fragrance collections, bundles and discovery sets.

Products mentioned within these terms may not always be available for purchase.
2. Products & Descriptions

We make every reasonable effort to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, ingredients, sizes, quantities and prices are accurate.

Please be aware that:

  • Product colours may appear slightly different depending on your screen.

  • Fragrance preferences and perceptions vary between individuals.

  • Minor differences in appearance may occur between production batches.

  • Packaging designs may change as our business develops.

  • Product availability is subject to stock levels.

All products must match their descriptions and comply with applicable legal requirements.

3ml Glow Oil Packaging Transition

Our 3ml Glow Oil pens are transitioning from clear packaging to white pens with a matte finish.

During this transition, customers may receive clear pens while existing stock is used.

Labels on clear pens may occasionally lift or peel due to adhesion difficulties. This does not necessarily affect the product inside.

Any concerns regarding product quality, safety or conformity will be assessed fairly.
3. Orders, Prices & Payments

All prices are displayed in pounds sterling (GBP).

Applicable taxes and delivery charges will be displayed before checkout.

Customers are responsible for checking their chosen products, fragrances, quantities and delivery details before completing an order.

Payment must be completed using one of the available payment methods at checkout.

An automated order confirmation acknowledges receipt of an order. A contract is formed when we issue a dispatch confirmation, unless we expressly accept the order earlier.

If we cannot fulfil an order, we will contact the customer and refund any payment received for the affected products.

Where a genuine pricing error occurs before acceptance, we may offer the customer the option to proceed at the correct price or receive a refund.

We will never increase the amount charged without the customer's agreement.
4. Order Processing & Dispatch

We aim to process and dispatch orders within 2–3 working days after payment has been received.

Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding UK bank holidays.

Processing times do not include delivery times.

During particularly busy periods or unforeseen circumstances, processing may take longer.

Where a significant delay occurs, we will communicate this and explain the available options.

Unless otherwise agreed, goods will be delivered within 30 days of the contract being made.
5. UK Delivery & Shipping

Opal Glow Beauty currently delivers within the United Kingdom only.

International shipping is not available.

We use Royal Mail for deliveries.

Available delivery methods, prices and estimated delivery times are displayed at checkout.

Incorrect Delivery Addresses

Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate delivery information.

If an order is returned due to incorrect or incomplete information supplied by the customer, additional postage costs may apply for redelivery.

Any additional charges will be explained and agreed before redelivery.

Uncollected Parcels

If a parcel is returned because it was not collected from a delivery office or collection point, we will contact the customer to discuss redelivery or any applicable cancellation rights.

Reasonable additional postage costs may apply where legally permitted.

Lost, Missing or Damaged Parcels

If an order is lost, arrives damaged or contains missing items, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

Where available, photographs of the parcel, packaging and affected products will help us investigate.

We will investigate delivery issues with the delivery provider and arrange an appropriate resolution.

Opal Glow Beauty remains responsible for goods until they are delivered to the customer or their nominated recipient, except where the customer independently arranges a carrier not offered by us.

Customers are not required to pursue the delivery provider themselves to exercise their statutory rights.
6. Cosmetic Hygiene & Tamper-Evident Seals

At Opal Glow Beauty, product hygiene, safety and customer confidence are extremely important.

Our cosmetic range is being transitioned to tamper-evident packaging, including:

  • 3ml Glow Oil brush pens.

  • 30ml Glow Oil dropper bottles.

  • Glow Balms.

  • Hand creams.

These seals are designed to provide visible evidence if a product has been opened or interfered with.

Change-of-Mind Returns for Sealed Cosmetics

Where a cosmetic product is supplied with a qualifying hygiene seal and is unsuitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons, the statutory change-of-mind cancellation right does not apply once that seal has been broken after delivery.

This restriction does not automatically apply to all cosmetic products or to products without qualifying hygiene seals.

Opening ordinary outer delivery packaging does not, by itself, remove cancellation rights.

Faulty or Damaged Products

Hygiene restrictions do not affect statutory rights relating to faulty, damaged, unsafe, incorrect or misdescribed products.

Customers should contact us if a product arrives with a damaged or missing hygiene seal.
7. Change-of-Mind Returns & Cancellations

For eligible online consumer purchases, customers have the legal right to cancel within 14 calendar days after receiving their goods.

Where an order is delivered in separate parcels, the cancellation period generally begins after receipt of the final item.

Customers must notify us of their decision to cancel within the applicable period.

After notifying us, customers have a further 14 days to return eligible goods.

How to Request a Return

Please use the Contact Form on our website or email info@opalglow.co.uk.

Include your name, order number and details of the products you wish to return.

Customers do not need prior approval to exercise their statutory cancellation rights.

Return Postage

Customers are responsible for direct return postage costs for change-of-mind returns.

Products should be securely packaged to prevent damage during transit.

We recommend retaining proof of postage.

We do not charge restocking or administration fees for statutory cancellations.

Where permitted by law, a refund may be reduced to reflect diminished value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

Qualifying unsealed hygiene products are subject to the restrictions explained in Section 6.
8. Faulty, Damaged & Incorrect Products

We take pride in the quality of our products and carefully prepare every order.

If a product arrives faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described, please contact us through our website Contact Form or by email.

Where possible, please provide:

  • Your order number or proof of purchase.

  • A description of the issue.

  • Clear photographic evidence.

  • The product batch number, where available.

Photographic Evidence

Photographs are our preferred method of investigating product concerns.

This helps avoid unnecessary postage costs and reduces the need to transport potentially contaminated cosmetic products.

In most cases, customers will not be required to return faulty products.

We may request additional information or a physical return where reasonably necessary.

Where a return is required for faulty or incorrectly supplied goods, we will cover reasonable necessary return costs in accordance with applicable law.

Customer Rights

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, customers may be entitled to a refund, repair, replacement or price reduction depending on the circumstances.

Consumers generally have a short-term right to reject non-conforming goods within 30 days, subject to the statutory rules and exceptions.

We will not require customers to accept a replacement instead of a refund where they have a legal right to reject the goods.
9. Exchanges & Replacements

We offer exchanges or replacements for faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied products where appropriate.

We do not offer discretionary exchanges simply because a customer changes their mind about a fragrance or product.

Opened cosmetic products are not eligible for discretionary exchanges.

These restrictions do not affect statutory cancellation rights or remedies for faulty goods.
10. Refunds & Product Inspections

Where a physical return is reasonably necessary, we may inspect the product to assess its condition or reported fault.

Change-of-Mind Refunds

For eligible statutory cancellations, refunds will be processed within the applicable legal timeframe.

We may withhold reimbursement until we receive the returned goods or evidence that they have been sent back, whichever occurs first.

Once that condition is met, reimbursement will be made within the applicable 14-day deadline.

Where an entire eligible order is cancelled, the refund will include the applicable standard outbound delivery charge.

Additional charges for premium delivery upgrades do not normally have to be refunded beyond the standard delivery cost.

Faulty Product Refunds

Where a refund is due for faulty goods, it will be issued without undue delay and within the applicable statutory timeframe.

Where we agree to resolve an issue using photographic evidence without requiring a return, the customer will not need to send the product back before receiving the agreed remedy.

Refunds will normally be issued using the original payment method.

We do not charge refund processing fees.
11. Fragrance Preferences

Fragrance preferences are personal and can vary significantly between individuals.

We cannot guarantee that a fragrance will smell identical to another manufacturer's product or meet an individual's personal expectations.

Disliking a fragrance does not automatically mean that a product is faulty.

We do not offer discretionary refunds or exchanges solely because a fragrance is not to a customer's taste.

This does not affect statutory cancellation rights or rights where a product is not as described.
12. Allergies, Sensitivities & Safe Use

Customers should read the ingredient information, product directions and warnings before use.

Our products may contain fragrance ingredients and other cosmetic ingredients capable of causing sensitivities or allergic reactions.

We recommend:

  • Using products only as directed.

  • Avoiding contact with eyes.

  • Avoiding application to broken or irritated skin.

  • Discontinuing use if irritation occurs.

  • Keeping products away from children.

  • Following storage and shelf-life instructions.

  • Keeping applicators and containers clean to minimise contamination.

Customers should seek appropriate medical advice if a significant reaction occurs.

A sensitivity does not automatically establish that a product is defective. However, all product safety concerns will be reviewed fairly.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for unsafe or defective products where liability cannot legally be excluded.
13. Product Storage & Shelf Life

Products should be stored according to their labelled instructions.

Unless otherwise indicated, we recommend keeping products in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Customers should follow any stated expiry date or period-after-opening symbol.

We cannot accept responsibility for deterioration caused solely by incorrect storage, contamination or misuse after delivery, where the law permits.
14. Cosmetic Safety Documentation

Product safety and compliance are important to Opal Glow Beauty.

Our cosmetic products are supported by relevant Cosmetic Product Safety Reports (CPSRs).

Relevant Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) are also held where applicable.

Documentation Requests

Customers and trade professionals may request relevant cosmetic safety documentation through our website Contact Form or by emailing info@opalglow.co.uk.

Requests will be reviewed individually.

Where appropriate, we may provide relevant safety information or extracts rather than complete confidential documents.

Disclosure remains subject to applicable legal requirements, confidentiality and intellectual property protections.

Batch Traceability

Our products are identified using appropriate batch information to support quality control, traceability and product safety investigations.

Customers are encouraged to retain batch details when reporting concerns.
15. Collections, Bundles & Discovery Sets

Customers should check their selected fragrances, product sizes and quantities before checkout.

Where products are selected from our standard fragrance range, these selections do not automatically make an order bespoke or exempt from statutory cancellation rights.

If you have made a selection error, please contact us promptly.

We will try to accommodate changes where possible, but cannot guarantee amendments once an order has entered preparation or dispatch.

Where a product within a bundle is faulty, we will provide the appropriate statutory remedy.
16. Promotions & Discount Codes

Promotional offers are subject to their advertised conditions.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Only one promotional code may be used per order.

  • Promotional codes cannot be exchanged for cash.

  • Expired offers do not have to be extended.

  • Discounts cannot normally be applied retrospectively.

  • Certain products may be excluded from promotions.

Complimentary products and promotional gifts may be subject to clearly advertised eligibility conditions.

Statutory refunds will not be reduced by undisclosed penalties.
17. Wholesale & Trade Orders

Wholesale purchasing is available to approved professional or business customers.

Trade accounts require manual approval.

We may request evidence of professional qualifications or business activity.

Trade prices, minimum order quantities and purchasing conditions differ from retail orders.

Trade Returns

For genuine business-to-business purchases, consumer change-of-mind cancellation rights do not automatically apply.

We do not offer discretionary returns or exchanges for:

  • Unsold stock.

  • Excess inventory.

  • Slow-selling fragrances.

  • Products ordered in error.

  • Business change of mind.

Any discretionary trade return must be agreed in writing.

Faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied trade products will be handled according to the applicable contract and legal requirements.

Nothing in this section excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Trade customers are responsible for complying with applicable storage, handling and resale requirements.
18. Fraudulent Claims & Misuse

We take customer concerns seriously and investigate claims fairly.

Where there is reasonable evidence of fraud, deliberate misrepresentation or misuse of our ordering procedures, we may request proportionate supporting information and take appropriate action.

We may decline future orders where justified and legally permitted.

We will not refuse a valid statutory remedy solely because a customer has previously made a claim.

19. Complaints & Customer Support

We want every customer to feel confident shopping with Opal Glow Beauty.

If something goes wrong, please contact us through the Contact Form on our website or email:

info@opalglow.co.uk

Please include your order number, relevant product information and a description of the concern.

We will investigate complaints fairly and aim to resolve them as promptly as reasonably possible.

Using our complaints process does not prevent customers from exercising their statutory rights.
20. Website Content & Intellectual Property

All original Opal Glow Beauty branding, photographs, graphics, written content and designs remain the property of Opal Glow Beauty or their respective rights holders.

Unauthorised commercial reproduction or use is prohibited, except where permitted by law.

Visitors must not misuse the website, interfere with its operation or attempt unauthorised access.
21. Liability & Consumer Rights

We are responsible for foreseeable losses resulting from our breach of contract or failure to exercise reasonable care and skill.

Nothing within these terms excludes or limits liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by negligence.

  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

  • Defective products where liability cannot legally be excluded.

  • Any other liability that cannot lawfully be restricted.

  • Statutory consumer rights.

22. Changes to Our Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions to reflect changes in our business operations, products or legal obligations.

Updated terms will apply to future orders.

Changes will not retrospectively alter accepted orders without a lawful basis or the customer's agreement.
23. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

This does not remove mandatory consumer protections or legal rights that apply to customers elsewhere within the United Kingdom.
