I just wanted a cuticle oil that did what I wanted it to do.
I wanted simple ingredients I could understand and explain, and an oil I felt confident using with my clients. My other non-negotiable? It had to smell REALLY good. I'd tried oils that smelled amazing in the applicator, then seemed to lose their scent almost as soon as they touched my skin. I wanted scents you'd get excited about — the kind that make you say, 'Wait — smell this.'

The face behind Opal Glow Beauty, a qualified nail tech since April 2025, former retail girlie and someone with approximately 508 business ideas floating around in her head at any given moment. 😂
I've been doing my own nails since I was a teenager, but turning that love into a career took a little longer. I attempted an online course during Covid, practiced on a grand total of TWO models (rookie mistake!) and eventually decided it was time to take things seriously.
I trained whilst still working in retail, and if anything, that pushed me even harder. I knew I wanted something different. Something creative, something I could build myself and something I genuinely loved doing. And here we are!
Smelling good was only half the job.
As a working nail tech, I wanted Glow Oil to have a real place in aftercare. With my own clients, I value how consistent nail care helps the skin around nails look hydrated, keeps cuticles looking cared-for and makes cuticle care and prep easier at appointments. It's about keeping a manicure looking cared-for between visits.
